Hundreds of swimming pools have been built in Croatia in the past several years without knowing whether it was necessary to look for a use permit or not.
If there were any doubts before, the newest amendments of the Ordinance on simple and other construction works now made the picture clear.
Use permit for swimming pools up to 100m2 built according to the above-mentioned Ordinance, is not required.
What remains unchanged is that the pool still needs to have its main design done by licensed architect or civil engineer, and must be built according to the zoning regulation.
The beginning of the construction, together with the project number must be announced in written form to the local authorities at least 8 days in advance.
More on the process you can read in one of our previous posts.
