An Apartment in Zagreb in a New Development
The interior design of a 54m² apartment in a newly constructed building. The design combines two closely related styles, Japandi and Mid-Century Modern.
The Japandi style clearly dominates through the use of a neutral color palette, natural materials like wood, the presence of plants, minimalist decor, and functional furniture. The space feels calming and refined, which are the key characteristics of the Japandi style.
Mid-Century elements, such as a hanging lamp and the design of the chairs, add subtle accents and a distinctive retro aesthetic without disrupting the overall Japandi atmosphere. Geometric shapes and details in the furniture introduce a gentle touch of the Mid-Century Modern style, but they do not overpower the space.
